One of our favorite suggestions for using morganite tumbles in gemstone décor is to add them to a crystal or glass plate, bowl, vase, or other container. You can layer them or use them to surround figurines or other display pieces, too. With all of the colors and variation available in gemstone tumbles and chips, there is almost always a complementary or accent color that will suit your personal style. What is Morganite?
Morganite is a gemstone variety of the mineral beryl, the same mineral family as emerald and aquamarine. It is most famous for its lovely pink tones, but can also appear in shades of peach, salmon, and even pale violet. These natural color variations are due to trace elements present during the crystal’s formation, giving each bead a one-of-a-kind look.
Why are These Morganite Tumbles Multicolored?

About Morganite & UV Reactivity
Morganite, a variety of beryl, typically does not fluoresce under ultraviolet (UV) light. The mineral composition of morganite does not contain the specific trace elements or impurities that would cause it to exhibit fluorescence. While there may be rare instances of certain morganite specimens showing fluorescence due to the presence of trace elements, the majority of morganite pieces do not fluoresce. The ones that do fluoresce typically do so with weak to moderate vibrance. Interestingly, under X-rays, morganite tends to have deep, dark glow.

- Not suggested for use in animal habitats or fish tanks.
- UV Notes: For gemstones, 365nm is the best for UV lighting. Only some specimens illuminate under the other part of this spectrum (370-400nm). This is why some pictures are not as clear for our UV reactive pieces. Our current lights are at 365nm, but used to be 395mm only. For home use, the 395nm is less expensive, but in some cases, will need a zoomed beam on the flashlight style UV lights. If you do use a 365nm light, please take care to use eye protection.
